Question: Why does matt murdock take percocet and vicotin in the daredevil movie?

Why did they have a scene in daredevil showing him taking vics and percocets?

To show that he doesn't have any super powers that make him strong or invulnerable. His own super power is that he's a blind guy that can see. How lame.

Because, unlike other superheroes, he doesn't heal instantly. So, when he's out fighting the bad guys and gets punched, cut, shot, etc... he takes the meds for pain.
